Construction and Performance of an Improved Differential Refractometer Detector for Liquid Chromatography

Abstract
The various parameters which should be considered in designing a differential refractive index detector (DRID) for high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) are presented. Results obtained in the evaluation of an experimental prototype DRID with small volume, increased stability to vibration, fast response, and large dynamic range are discussed according to these views.
