Abstract
Five cases of perianal infection caused by nonclostridial gas-producing organisms are reported. Four were males in their sixth decade, 2 of whom were diabetics, and the fifth was a female in her third decade. Two cases died, and the severity of these infections is emphasized. The diagnosis and treatment of non-clostridial gas-producing infections are discussed. Keywords
