Abstract
Periodate has been determined using fluorometric analysis of the fluorescent product when periodate and paracetamol were mixed in acidic medium. The calibration graph was linear between 4.8×10−7–5.6×10−6 mol/liter, and the detection limit is 4.0×10−8 mol/liter. The proposed method was applied to the determination of the total content of different iodine forms in kelp samples, and the results were satisfactory. Keywords
