Abstract
Publication of the results of the Multiple Risk Factor Intervention Trial study (MRFIT) in September 19821 has led to considerable confusion among physicians and the public alike regarding the appropriate management of hypertension. This confusion threatens to undo some of the considerable progress that has been made in the United States in controlling hypertension and reducing its complications. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
