Polarography of potassium manganate

Abstract
The polarography of compounds in the higher valency states of manganese, already carried out for permanganate by other authors, is extended to alkaline solutions by investigating the polarographic reduction of the manganate ion at the dropping mercury electrode, as well as at the rotating platinum electrode. Quantitative determinations of manganate appear to be possible in the concentration range from 2 × 10−3 M to 2 × 10−5 M.
