Abstract
The angular distribution patterns of vector analyzing powers for () reactions on shell nuclei at energies near 16.5 MeV depend distinctly on the orbital angular momentum and total angular momentum transferred. Examples of , , and transfers have been obtained for , , and targets, and these compare well with distorted-wave calculations. These measurements provide information useful in establishing the spins and parities of the levels populated in () reactions.
