Abstract
Optical absorption and thermoluminescence (TL) output measurements were made on KBr single crystals treated in a high alternating (50 Hz) electric field and irradiated with X-rays at room temperature. A substantial enhancement of both the F-centre concentration and the thermoluminescence light output was observed in AC field treated samples upon X-irradiation. The effect of AC field treatment on the F-centre growth curves is also reported. Keywords
