Abstract
Chemical examination of C. micrantha and of C. crystallina has shown that their relation is not as close to C. aurea as taxonomic classification would suggest. C. micrantha was found to contain protopine, l-tetrahydro-palmatine, capaurine, capauridine, scoulerine, and three unidentified phenolic alkaloids (F41, F42, and F43). C. crystallina yielded only a small amount of total bases from which protopine, bicuculline, and capnoidine were isolated. Keywords
