Ionic Conductivity of Cuprous Chloride Containing Cuprous Sulfide

Abstract
The electrical conductivity of undoped cuprous chloride and cuprous chloride containing cuprous sulfide as an impurity in concentrations between 0.20 and 1.0 mole percent (m/o) has been measured as a function of temperature between 60° and 370°C using the a‐c method. The results have been analyzed to obtain the values of the energies of formation and migration, mobility of copper interstitial ions, and concentrations of Frenkel defects. The solubility limit of cuprous sulfide in cuprous chloride has also been determined by using electrical conductivity measurements and x‐ray diffraction.
