Modifying Attitudes towards Drugs in Seventh Grade Students

Abstract
The study examined the relationship between attitudes towards drugs and factors such as IQ, sex, father's occupation, and six areas of adjustment. 190 seventh graders responded to three tests administered before and after a drug prevention education program. The results show that the E group gains were better than chance but that the gains were related more closely to information items than to their attitudes. The correlation between drug attitudes and IQ, father's occupation and six adjustment areas were negligible. There were sex differences in favor of the male E group.
