Abstract
We have studied the reaction p+p→p+p+, near threshold, at five energies between 320 and 500 MeV, by detecting the decay γ rays of the in coincidence in two large NaI crystals. The energy and angular distributions were measured from which we determine that the s-wave contribution to the total cross section is (μb)=(15.2±3.0). This is somewhat lower than results of previous experiments.
