Abstract
A new Bi-containing cuprate, Bi2LaCaCuO6.5+y , was found and its properties were investigated. Its crystal structure was considered to be identical to that of the 7 K-class superconductor, Bi2Sr2CuO6+y . Semiconductive behavior of electrical resistivity and very weak diamagnetism were observed. Its unique magnetic property is discussed. Keywords
