Abstract
Stathmopoda auriferella (Wlk.) (Lepidoptera, HELIODINIDAE) is recorded as a pest in Northern Nigeria of sorghum in the field and on the head in store. Notes are given on the nature of the infestation. The mature larva is described, and characters are listed for separating it from the larvae of four common species of Lepidoptera which infest stored produce; and for separating the adult from that of Sitotroga cerealella (Ol.).Keywords
