Abstract
The reproductive system of alfalfa was studied for the presence of transfer cells. They were found in the tapetum of the anther, in the stylar canal, and along the ventral suture of the ovary wall. The cell wall of the filiform apparatus and the wall at the tip of the pollen tube resemble those of transfer cells. Keywords
