Abstract
IntroductionThe issue of providing quality of service guarantees in the Internet has far-reachingimplications which go well beyond the definition of protocols and traffic controlmechanisms. Quality of service is closely related to pricing and, through that, tothe underlying economic model on which the network as a business is based. Inadvocating flow aware networking, we are inspired to a large extent by the highlysuccessful model on which the public telephone network is based.Quality...Keywords
