Abstract
Models are developed which simulate expected chromosome pairing in pentaploid hybrids. Comparison of the various models [i.e., Triticum] with observed meiotic data allow the measurement of genomic affinity and therefore a new investigation of species and evolutionary relationships. The advantages and disadvantages of investigations at the pentaploid level are compared with those of the previously developed models for triploids and tetraploids. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
