Abstract
This paper reports an introductory study of the attitudes to bilingual heritage interpretation of monoglot English‐speaking visitors at two small tourist attractions in Wales. Both Welsh residents and visitors to the Principality indicate support for bilingual interpretation; this support largely transcends socio‐demographic and behavioural attributes of respondents. Bilingual interpretation has a role in raising the profile of the Welsh language and contributing to the sense of place of Wales. Keywords
