Abstract
Machining of bone is widely practiced in medicine. Varying mechanical and thermal damage to bone tissue results from using the various machining methods. The success of the operation depends on the extent of the damage done. A theoretical and experimental analysis of the factors influencing cortical temperature was presented. The correct choice of drill speeds and application forces, together with the optimization of the drill geometry can minimize the risks. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
