Abstract
In 2 expts. in which the insecticides were timed for the control of the first brood Protoparce quinquemaculata, TDE, toxaphene, Dilan and DDT gave effective control. A 5% heptachlor dust was the least effective of the materials tested. Toxaphene plus parathion and DDT plus parathion gave effective control of the tomato hornworm and the green peach aphid (Myzus persicae). Parathion 1% dust was not effective against 4th and 5th instar tomato hornworms, but gave near perfect control of the green peach aphid. In 2 expts. for the control of the 2d brood Protoparce sexta and P. quinquemaculata, TDE, Dilan and toxaphene gave effective control. Cryolite was the least effective of the materials tested. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
