Abstract
There is a tension between the attitude of psychology toward anger and the attitude of most ministers. An examination of the biblical teaching on anger yields two results: (a) anger is justifiable as a reflection of God's anger at sin and humansuffering; and (b) more often than not anger is wrong and a response to personal difficulties. The application of these results to a counseling setting is made. Keywords
