Abstract
The group-specific components have been determined in 1310 sera from 16 populations in South and South East Asia and Oceania. Although the range of distribution of Gc alleles in the majority of the populations of Caucasian and Mongoloid origin is similar to the variation observed in Europeans, some populations with different distributions have been observed. The variant group-specific component Gc Aborigine has been found in individuals from New Guinea. The available information on the distribution of Gc alleles in Asia, Oceania and Australia is briefly discussed. Keywords
