Abstract
The methods of dimensional analysis, which are used in the physical sciences, can also be used to advantage in operations research. The basic classes of dimensions in operations research are those of time, quantity, and money. In this paper we describe the dimensions of quantities in probability distributions, inventory, linear programming, and in queuing. Some illustrations are given on the use of dimensional analysis in O.R.Keywords
