Abstract
Electrical and mechanical vibratory stimuli were simultaneously delivered to a common locus on the fingertip. Cutan. beats were produced by slightly mistuning the frequencies of the 2 stimuli. The interaction was restricted to the narrow frequency range of about 280~to 310~. Threshold detns. revealed that the interaction between the 2 stimuli occurred only with an in-phase relationship. Keywords
