Abstract
Ultrasound has developed rapidly over the last 25years and is used by most specialities. It provides a quick, non-invasive diagnostic investigation which complements other imaging techniques such as computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. This article will outline briefly a little of its history, its clinical applications, and recent advances. Keywords
