Abstract
Testosterone cyclopentylpropionate in oil given by intramusc. injn., which has been shown to have a prolonged action in animals, has been evaluated in 8 male hypogonadal patients. Response varied directly with the size of the dose. Duration of effect in all cases was 28 days or more. No untoward consequences were noted. Comparable doses of testosterone propionate were effective for 14 days or less. 17-Ketosteroid excretion was much greater following injn. of testosterone propionate. Keywords
