Anisotropy Effects upon the Magnetic Properties of High-Tc Superconductors

Abstract
All known high-Tc superconductors are strongly anisotropic. We use the mass tensor formulation of the Ginzburg-Landau theory to discuss the effects of anisotropy upon various magnetic properties of single- and polycrystals. We also consider the influence of anisotropy upon the width of the resistive transition as a function of field.
