Abstract
The healing rate of wounds made artificially on branches of peach varied with the date of wounding, with age and size of branch, and age of tree, and with variety. Most rapid healing occurred on the most canker-resistant variety, Elberta, at wounds made in June and July, on scaffold limbs, and on young trees. Findings showed that more rapid healing is characteristic of relatively canker-resistant varieties. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
