Abstract
A formal generalization of the Nyquist formula for an antenna in a possibly anisotropic equilibrium plasma is presented along with practically useful expressions derived from it. It is shown that this can explain some preliminary results of the recent three‐dimensional radio mapping experiment (SBH) on the ISEE 3 spacecraft. Keywords
