Abstract
Footnotes Competing interests SL, HR, and GF participate in trials involving patients with acute stroke. GF and HR are director and deputy director of the UK Stroke Research Network. The authors are currently conducting research regarding the processes and practices of consenting patients to hyperacute stroke treatment studies. This work is partly funded by a Stroke Association Project Grant led by MM. LS is funded by the Department of Health National Coordinating Centre for Research Capacity Development.Keywords
