Abstract
The energy band structure of AIN is calculated by means of the orthogonalized plane wave method at the points Γ, A, K, H, M, and L of the Brillouin zone. 135 plane waves have been used at the point Γ. The results to Herman and Skillman who calculated them with the Slater approximation for the exchange potential have been used as atomic wave functions and potentials. Keywords
