An Undescribed Species of Helminthosporium on Sudan Grass and Sorghum

Abstract
H. sorghi-cola n.sp. was isolated from a zoned, or "target," spot on leaves of a common Sudan grass x Leoti sorghum hybrid (now Tift Sudan grass) from Tifton, Georgia. The fungus appears to be most prevalent in s.-e. United States. It has also been found on Sorghum vulgare var. sudanensis, S. vulgare and S. hale-pense.
