Abstract
The authors neurologically examined 38 patients who had received lithium carbonate for from 3 months to 5 years to determine the presence of extrapyramidal side effects. No patient had received neuroleptics for 3 months before examination. Definite cogwheeling was found in 2 patients. The results confirm previously reported occurrence of cogwheeling in lithium-treated patients. Keywords
