Abstract
Cholinesterase activity at the myoneural junction in human intercostal muscle was demonstrated histochemically. Activity was present in refrigerated muscle up to 157 days and for a similar time in tissues removed from bodies within 24 hours after embalming. The duration of cholinesterase activity in muscle treated with various fixatives was also investigated. Keywords
