Abstract
Fourteen analyses representative of Manukau Breccia (Otaian) rock types in the Tokatoka district are presented and discussed. Chemical features of the suite are high Al203, magnesia to total iron ratio, and alkali-lime index, and low TiO2 and K2O: (Na20 + K2O) ratio; the range in silica is from 41–69%. Basic members show mixed alkaline, tholeiitic, and calc-alkaline affinities. Keywords
