Abstract
The investigator reports on a longitudinal study of the social contacts between young infants (aged 3‐16 months) raised together in a group. Behavioral observation protocols were scored for nine groups of interactions. The results demonstrated the existence of a broad range of pleasant social inter‐relations between young infants and a lack of aggressive interrelations. The author stresses the pedagogical advantages and importance of the use of a common playpen for infants who are raised in institutions.
