Abstract
A perfectly matched layer (PML) in two dimensions has been proposed, to be used in finite difference time domain (FDTD) calculations. PML was subsequently validated numerically in three dimensions. However, no theoretical proof has been reported on PML conditions in three dimensions. The Letter addresses this problem and a numerical example is provided. Keywords
