Abstract
The behavior of 4-tert-butylcalix[8]arene as a stationary phase in gas-solid chromatography has been tested using organic substances of different chemical and physical properties. On a column packed with the macrocycle supported on Chromosorb W Silanized, the separations of alcohols, chlorinated hydrocarbons and aromatic compounds were achieved, although the mechanism of the interactions has not yet elucidated. Keywords
