Abstract
Dephosphorised caseinogen, prepared by the action of 0.25 N NaOH upon caseinogen for 24 hrs. at 37[degree], has a lower N content than caseinogen. Analysis by the Van Slyke method shows that the loss has occurred chiefly in the "amide N" but to some extent in the "arginine N" fraction. Ammonia is evolved during the action of the alkali on caseinogen but estimation shows that at most onlyThis publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
