Eigenmode electric field profiles in cylindrical plasmas

Abstract
Electric field profiles of plasma column eigenmodes in the ion-cyclotron range of frequencies are discussed. Step and parabolic density profiles are compared. The role of temperature and Alfvén resonance is analyzed.Keywords
