Abstract
This paper sets up a framework for language analysis which may prove useful in articulating the perspectival view of the world that television news offers. Six political stories from ABC'sWorld News Tonight are used as a case study to explicate the political realtity that is created when reporters adopt certain metaphoric structures.Keywords
