Abstract
The solu-tion of the problem is given by a hypergeometrical series, which is closely approximated by a Pearsonian Type I curve, the constants of which are simple functions of the constants of the problem. 2 appendices deal with the basis of the theory of inverse probability and with the inverse problem, due to Laplace, of the probable size of a population with a given number of marked members from a sample. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
