This is a review of ethological concepts and terms; maintenance activities; communication, including a discussion of the causation, function and origin of displays; behavior and evolution, including intraspecific and interspecific variation in behavior, behavior and speciation, convergence, and behavior and taxonomy. Avian examples are used.
