Abstract
Eosinopenic response to epinephrine, formalin and histamine was measured before and after making hypothalamic lesions in cats. Anterior lesions were without effect; posterior hypothalamic lesions prevented the eosinopenic response. In other expts., exploraton stimulation of the hypothalamus was undertaken and the level of circulating eosinophils detnd. Eosinopenia resulted from excitation of tuberal and mammillary areas; surrounding regions did not induce this response. Keywords
