Abstract
9,9-Bis[4-(2-hydroxyethoxy)phenyl]fluorene is simply obtained by the condensation of phenoxyethanol with fluoren-9-one using a Ti4+ cation-exchanged montmorillonite as a strong solid acid catalyst.Keywords
