Abstract
Following extraction from urine and bidimensional TLC, the suspected spot of morphine was located by UV examination at 350 nm and eluted with methanol using a "Eluchrom" apparatus. The dried residue was subjected to spectrofluorimetric analysis under definite conditions. This procedure can be used to confirm the identification of the alkaloid and for its estimation. The sensitivity and the recoveries of various quantities of morphine added to urine were determined.
