Abstract
A new asymptotic expansion is presented to describe the dissolution or growth of an isolated, stationary gas bubble in a liquid. With the exception of long times, bubble radii calculated via this expansion are in excellent agreement with values obtained by numerical methods over a wide range of gas under(super)‐saturations. Keywords
