Chondromyxoma of the Middle Cranial Fossa

Abstract
A case of an extra-axial middle cranial fossa tumor, identified pathologically as a chondromyxoma, is presented. Whereas poorly differentiated sarcomatous neoplasms are reported infrequently in children, a cartilaginous mesenchymal tumor in an adult is a distinct rarity. The intracranial chondromyxoma is discussed in relationship to its probable origin, its unique pathological characteristics, and its clinical manifestations.
