Abstract
Taking account of the quantization of the motion in the direction of the gravitational field alters the density of energy levels for the gas particles. The temperature derivative of the chemical potential is discontinuous at the transition temperature, and there results a jump discontinuity in the specific heat at constant volume. Keywords
