Keratomycosis: An Ultrastructural Study

Abstract
The ultrastructure of r, human cornea infected with Monosporium apiospermum, the imperfect form of Allescheria boydii was examined. Changes in corneal ultrastructure were noted together with its relationship to the invading fungus. Comparisons were made of morphological variations of the fungus from the affected cornea and from pure culture. The most highly modified portions of the in situ parasitic fungus were those related to protein synthesis.
