Abstract
A fragment of the human IL-10 gene starting from a Hind III site and including 744 previously unknown bases of the 5′ regulatory region was isolated by oligo-cassette PCR walking and the nucleotide sequence was determined. It shows remarkable homology to the mouse IL-10 promoter in regions that have been associated with transcriptional regulation. Keywords
